Aim and Objective: The aim of our study is to evaluate the clinical profile of Cerebral Sinus Venous Thrombosis (CSVT) in our hospital and to look for the radiological features of various CSVT. CSVT is a disease of cerebral vascular etiology affecting the cerebral sinuses and veins. It has a varied clinical presentation commonest being headache, altered sensorium and behavioral changes. Materials and Methods: MRI and MRV evaluation of CSVT was carried out in the Radiology department of Meenakshi Medical College Hospital and Research Institute, Kanchipuram. A total of 50 patients, both genders were included in this study. Results: MRI brain with MRV has shown to have high sensitivity and gives good reliable information in identifying the disease when compared to CT scan thus making it a gold standard diagnostic modality in the diagnosis of CSVT. Conclusion: In the present study was concluded that MRI with MRV brain is a simple, non-invasive and sensitive diagnostic modality, which is of great use in the evaluation of CSVT.
